How to update values in Custom fields

Custom fields serve as a way of displaying intrisic details of your products to your customers through public custom fields or data fields important to you or your team by private custom fields. However, updating each field can be a tedious task if number of products is high, hence QuickSell offers you an easy solution to upload custom fields easily by uploading an excel file with the details. Alternatively, you can add the custom field details via QuickSell mobile app or QuickSell web on each product directly.

Adding values from the mobile app

  1. Open the desired catalog and then the product

  2. Tap on the Pen button at the bottom-right corner

  3. On the product editing screen, swipe to the Custom Fields section

  4. Type the value in the custom fields

  5. After adding values in the fields relevant for this product, click on SAVE at the top-right corner of the screen.


Adding values from the web version

  1. Go to our web version and login to your account

  2. Open the desired catalog and then the product

  3. In the product section, click on Custom

  4. Type the value in the custom fields

  5. After adding values in the fields relevant for this product, click on SAVE at the top-right corner of the screen.



Adding values through Excel


If you do not have an excel file already -

  1. Open the desired catalog

  2. Click on the Share button in the tool bar at the top

  3. Click on Excel

  4. The entire catalog will be exported into excel with a column by the name of the custom field you've created


  5. Add the values in the product row under the custom field column

  6. After adding the values for all the products, save the file


  7. Come back to QuickSell and open the catalog

  8. Click on the Edit button in the tool bar

  9. Click Add/Remove

  10. Select the file from your file system and Product Mapper will open


  11. The fields will map themselves automatically, however, you can manually change the mapping according to your preference

  12. Click on Next and then select the Product Identifier (SKU/ Product Title)

  13. Click on Upload Now


If you already have an excel file with all the values -

  1. Open the desired catalog

  2. Click on the Edit button in the tool bar

  3. Click Add/Remove


  4. Select the file from your file system and Product Mapper will open

  5. Map the Excel columns with the Custom fields

  6. Click on Next and then select the Product Identifier (SKU/ Product Title)

  7. Click on Upload Now
