Ever wondered why few e-commerce platforms have add to cart option, but jewellery or eye-wear brands on certain products, provides try and buy. While the interface remains the same, the button associated with the product can be changed as per your business use case to the below options:

  • Try and buy - Usually used by Jewellery, eyewear, limited fashion wear brands. This gives the customer an option to inform the seller that they would want to try the item, and if they like, they would want to go ahead and purchase the item after trying. Major logistics companies have started providing services around try and buy which was earlier either offered by large brands with home purchase consultation options or by multi-brand outlets trying to attract and win trust of local customers.

    Now using this feature, you may have a foot in the door sales approach of your high ticket products by giving your customer the flexibility of purchase.

  • Send Inquiry - Majorly used by B2B brands, manufactures, wholesellers and import-export companies; this feature is used in catalogues with product information, price, MOQ or MOA mentioned, where new buyers can raise inquiry with the seller and discuss the details of the purchase to close the deal.

  • Request Quote - Although this is similar to Send Inquiry, this option is used when Price details are not mentioned or when buyer has special customization or modification request added to the listed product. This is used by companies dealing in large orders, heavy machineries, corporate gifting or dealing with purchase managers or admins of other businesses.

  • Add to List - Usually used when catalogue layout is List View.

  • Add to cart - Usually used when catalogue layout is Grid View.

  • Buy Now - Usually used when catalogue layout is Magazine View.

Step 2 : Go to catalogues section and select the desired catalogue.

Step 3 : Click on Manage

Step 4 : Click on Theme and Layout

Step 5 : Click on change action button

Select the button of choice! It's done.
