When you would like to run Google Shopping Center Ads, it is required to completely verify your domain/website hosted on the domain.

Verifying your website in Google Merchant Center via domain verification involves a series of steps. Here's the step-by-step guide:

  1. Sign in to Google Merchant Center:

  2. Access "Settings":

    • In the left-hand navigation panel, click on the "Settings" icon.

  3. Select "Verification":

    • Under "Setup," select "Verification" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Choose "Domain":

    • In the "Verification" section, choose the "Domain" tab.

  5. Add Your Domain:

    • Click on the "+ Add URL Prefix" button.

    • Enter your website domain (e.g., www.yourwebsite.com) in the provided field.

  6. Select Verification Method:

    • Choose the "Domain name provider" option.

  7. Copy the TXT Record:

    • Google will provide you with a TXT record that you need to add to your domain's DNS settings.

    • Copy the entire TXT record.

  8. Access Your Domain's DNS Settings:

    • Log in to your domain hosting provider's dashboard.

    • Locate the DNS settings or DNS management section.

  9. Add the TXT Record:

    • Add a new TXT record with the information provided by Google.

    • Save the changes.

  10. Verify in Google Merchant Center:

    • Go back to the Google Merchant Center.

    • Click on the "Verify" button next to the domain you added.

  11. Wait for Verification:

    • It may take some time for the DNS changes to propagate. Google will check periodically for the TXT record.

  12. Check Verification Status:

    • Once verified, you'll see a green checkmark next to your domain in the Google Merchant Center.

That's it! Your Google Merchant Center account is now verified via domain verification.

Keep in mind that DNS changes may take some time to propagate, so don't worry if the verification status doesn't update immediately. If you encounter any issues, refer to Google's documentation or contact their support for assistance.
